The female population has gained more expressiveness in the prison context. Most women imprisoned are due to drug-related crimes, which are mostly commanded by male individuals. In this context, this work determined the gender profile of drug preliminary tests carried out in a flagrant situation over a three-month period in a regional Technical-Scientific Police in Goiás, which has the largest prison complex in the state. As a result, it was found that women are present in 35% of the occurrences, and in only 14% of these occurrences they were alone, in the remainder there was the association of at least one male, who was mostly incarcerated. Part of the drugs seized in the prison system comes from the vaginal region of visitors, showing the exploitation of spouse and family members of the prisoners to introduce drugs inside the prisons. The socioeconomic vulnerability and the context of violence to which these women are inserted need to be considered in public drug policies so that this type of violence against women can be fought.
